The JDA Systems portable test unit 2 (PTU2) is a complete telemetry ground station in a box.
The PTU2 leverages the capabilities off many JDA Systems components, the RF antennas, receivers, bit syncs, decoms and the VuSoft™ software program.
It contains a Windows 10 Professional based PC and is stand alone when operating locally, or it can operate headless with full remote control over its ethernet interface.
The PTU 2 can receive dual RF channels of L, Upper L, S and NATO and Optionally C bands, dual channel PCM telemetry in accordance with IRIG106 Chapter 4, IRIG106 Chapter 8 and numerous other formats.
The recovered data may be analyzed, distributed and recorded on the internal solid
state disk in IRIG106 Chapter 10 compliant files.
The PTU2 uses the latest JDA Systems digital receivers that in combination with the other unique design features of the PTU2 can extend data reception by almost 10db over more traditional telemetry ground stations (e.g. a 1Mbit NRZ-L received at -107dbm limit).
The controlling tablet computer may be easily and quickly removed for declassification.
