Colin Douglas founded JDA Systems in 1992 and served as Managing Director until its acquisition by JDA Systems US in 2024.
With more than 45 years of experience in flight testing, his extensive knowledge has been leveraged by numerous industry groups and committees to help establish the standards used for flight testing today.
Colin is the concept designer of world class flight test products such as Grasp, VuSoft, CMDP, DisplayIt, and the Signal Noise Ratio Polling sensor. His development of the Digital Rotary Scan (DRS) technology is the first original monopulse antenna design in 40 years.
He Studied Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering to BSC Hons levels at the University of Manchester UMIST and Digital Systems to more advanced studies levels at Brunel University.
His passion is training the next generation of flight test engineers.
